FAQs

What is this blog about?

Well basically this blog is dedicated solely to recording my adventures. It’s kinda like my diary of sorts. Here I share all sorts of things, my thoughts, my study notes, my shooting adventures, my own unique experiences, the list goes on!

How did you get started?

Well, I started back in 2013, on a blogspot blog. In essence, I started because I was really into writing and I thought ‘Hey, since I’m writing already, might as well put it out there and share my thoughts and whatnot.’ I also thought it would be a really great opportunity to get feedback on my writing so that I can improve:)

Why the name ‘One Step At A Time’?

Well, this blog is going to be stepping through time with me, acting as a record of my journey though life. So in a sense, the name reflects that there is no rushing anything. Life takes place one step at a time.

What kind of camera do you use?

I use a Canon 70D for most of my overseas and pre planned shoots. If I shoot on the go, it’s likely to be my phone, which at the moment is my iPhone XS Max. I try to remember to label the device used for the photos, but if there are any that I missed out do let me know!

Who takes your pictures?

I do! Some of the older pictures were taken by my dad but images that were not shot by me are labelled and credited!

How do you make money on the blog?

Well, I don’t. I know there are plenty of people out there who do but I’m not one of them. I’m not sure about this but mine’s a free blog so I don’t think I’m even allowed to make money from this. But anyway, I started this as a means to record my journey and to share information that you guys may find useful and that’s really all there is to my intention, so nope, I’m not making money off this.

I want to start a blog. What is your advice?

Go for it!

If there is something you are passionate about, and you want to share, then go for it. Don’t start with the intention of becoming rich or famous, but do it for yourself. Eventually if you’re good enough, the money will follow, but if not, then you won’t be exceptionally disappointed because that was never the pushing force.

What planner do you use?

Hmm, this is a hard one because I’ve used so many. I’ve bought a few generic ones from Popular, I’ve used a Paper Stone planner, a Muji planner amongst a few others. For 2020, I’m finally going to try the one I’ve been lusting over for a while now- A Happy Planner! Perhaps I shall do a planner post soon if that interests you guys?

What are your past sites?

Well, this is here, somewhat more for my benefit than yours haha, but here they are. Here’s a disclaimer, not all of them have actual content in them ><
