I went to work as per usual today, and somehow in the midst of it, I got myself tangled up in a situation I never thought I would be tangled up in. At 10pm, I found myself at the void deck. I couldn’t go home.
I had come into contact with someone who just landed in Singapore. She was supposed to be in a 5 star hotel, serving her 14 day stay home notice, but there she was, at my workplace.
At 12am, I found myself in a hotel, the place I was supposed to call ‘home’ for the next 14 days. A place where I really will be alone, with only technology keeping me connected to the outside world.
I wasn’t given an official stay-home-notice, but for the safety of the my loved ones, for the safety of the residents whom I’ve grown oddly attached to, this was a decision that had to be made.
As of now, I am very behind in my admin work and my posting for both @01step_at_a_time and @giving.soulfood. But I will catch up with all that.
This series was not pre-planned, but this series will document what I’ve been up to in this 14 day self imposed Stay Home Notice. It’s time to test how much truth there is to ‘I enjoy my alone time.’
