This isn’t a new topic for yall haha, I’ve spoken about healing before and I just thought that this quote sums up really well what healing means to me.
Bad things will happen, and they always do happen. And as much as we hate it, they do tend to leave scars.
For some reason, the society we live in has made us all so afraid to show our scars, almost as if they are something we should be ashamed of. But no! You have nothing to be ashamed of.
Everyone has their own scars. And they don’t make you any weaker than anyone who hides their scars. If anything, to me, showing them makes you stronger, because it shows that you’ve accepted that to be a part of your history, something that you’ve gone through and ultimately, a part of you. If anything, it shows that you’re stronger, because you survived what tried to hurt you, and because of that, you’re a survivor.
Also, I just wanted to let you guys know, the captions these couple of days are a little shorter because I’m working on another post. It’s gonna be a really long one and it’s something that I’ve spent so many days writing. It’ll come out within the week and I’m really excited for you guys to read that!!
