With the quote I chose today, I think the main message that I really want to drive across is this. We all have a unique purpose to our lives. I choose to believe that we were all born for a purpose. But just for today, I’d like to scale that idea down. And by that I mean,
Everyone comes into our lives for a purpose.
That purpose might be to love us, or to hurt us, to teach us an important lesson or to help soothe our tired soul. Whatever it is, there is a purpose.
With this understanding in mind, this quote becomes so much easier to unpack, simply because it can be the purpose of our lives.
You see, no matter how close we are to anybody, it is very very difficult to be able to say for sure that you know his story. No matter how much you guys talk, you have never walked in his shoes and you have never felt his pain. In some cases, you have never even met the people who hurt him the most.
But at this point, what we all can still do, is to try to be the one who brings the light. The person with no malicious intentions and the one who brings joy. You honestly never know who might need that right at that moment, but if you’re always trying, there will come a day when you realise that thank goodness you were spreading joy that day, because your friend might have really needed that but you might not have known.
I know it can be difficult, to always be that happy pill for others. But I believe that we can get there one day. We just need to try:)
I don’t know if you guys agree with me on this, but I always just try to be the person I needed when I was at my lowest, even if that character was not there for me when I needed it.
