Graduation
Sunday, 20th September 1999
And today was Graduation Day! Cynthia helped me pick out a white dress with floral designs all over the bottom part, with a pale pink sash draped across my waist. And Jeremy totally loved it! And this is the romantic part. He brought me out to the garden after the ceremony, and there and then told me he had fallen in love with me at first sight. After that, it started raining heavily and we ran back into the castle hand in hand. I guessed Cynthia’s influence over boys got the batter of me and I started liking him back. And I am also excited about the holidays. Cynthia invited me over to her house for a sleepover and I’m going to love it!
Monday, 21st September 1999
Today is day one of the sleepover and I am still not tired, although Cynthia is already asleep. I hope she wakes up later than me so I do not embarrass myself.
Tuesday, 22nd September 1999
We made cookies and the kitchen was so messy. Cynthia’s Mom came hollering towards us, making Cynthia’s baby brother’s whining even more horrendous.
Wednesday, 23rd September 1999
Today we spent hours beading jewellery. Although we could have used magic, Cynthia’s Mom forbids us to do that in her house. Well, it was worth it.
Thursday, 24th September 1999
Today was the last day and a very emotional one. Cynthia was going to another academy in Austria and it is quite a distance from here in Switzerland.
The boys came over an said their final farewells before Cynthia left. We spent the last brief moments recollecting the happy times that we’d had together in high school. I was actually very sad to see her go. But we will still keep in touch by normal snail mail, since owls couldn’t fly that long. And now Shiloh is irritating me about having a boyfriend. I’m going to join the pillow fight against her. I can’t wait for her to have a boyfriend and have a taste of her own medicine!
